Haw Creek Preserve
NOTE: We had to change the location of the hike due to Turkey Hunting Season - we don't want to be mistaken for a turkey!!!
We're going to explore Haw Creek Preserve where the boardwalk begins. The walk is approximately 2 miles long on an elevated wooden walkway along the northern side of Haw Creek, with numerous overlooks of the creek. The halfway point of the walk ends at a meadow used for Scout camping. The walk will be out and back over the same route. Lunch for those interested will be at the new restaurant at Bull Creek Campground at the western terminus of CR 2006W.
Directions: From the intersection of SR 100 and US Highway 17 go east on SR 100 approximately 14 miles to the intersection of SR 100 and County Road 2005 (Water Oak Road). Turn right (south) on Water Oak and go approximately 4 miles to County Road 2006W. Turn Left and go approximately 2 miles to CR 2007. Watch for the brown
